Also means
occurred
Usage Note
Sucedido functions primarily as the past participle of suceder used adjectivally or in compound tenses: lo sucedido (what happened, the events that took place). The phrase lo sucedido is a very natural nominalized construction meaning 'the occurrence' or 'what went on'. Do not confuse suceder (to happen) with tener éxito (to succeed/to be successful) — a classic false friend.
Examples
"Nadie olvidará lo sucedido aquella noche."
Natural Translation
No one will forget what happened that night.
Literal Translation
No one will-forget the happened that night.
