Usage Note
Sonrojo names both the physical reddening of the face and the feeling of shame that causes it. Its verb counterpart is sonrojarse (reflexive: 'to blush'). Not to be confused with rojo ('red') though they share a root. In literary or elevated registers rubor is used synonymously. The word is exclusively masculine.
