molesto
annoyed
adjective moh-LES-toh Rare
Origin: From Latin molestus (troublesome, burdensome).
Also means
uncomfortable
Usage Note
Molesto is a false friend: it does not mean 'molested' in the English legal sense but simply 'annoyed', 'bothered', or 'uncomfortable'. With estar it describes a current state (estoy molesto — I'm annoyed); a molestia is a minor inconvenience or discomfort. For physical discomfort the same adjective works: me siento molesto (I feel uncomfortable). The English sense of sexual harassment uses acosar sexualmente, not molestar in formal legal contexts.
Examples
"Está molesto por el ruido del vecino."
Natural Translation
He is annoyed by the neighbour's noise.
