Also means
to hitch; to get hooked (on something)
Usage Note
Enganchar literally means to hook or hitch one thing to another (enganchar el remolque, 'to hitch the trailer'), but colloquially it means to become addicted or obsessed: me enganchó esa serie ('that series hooked me'). The reflexive engancharse often implies getting hooked on a drug or habit. In Spain it also means to catch a bus or train just in time.
Examples
"Se enganchó a los videojuegos desde niño."
Natural Translation
He got hooked on video games as a child.
