Also means
exasperating
Usage Note
Desesperante describes something that causes deep frustration or hopelessness, stronger than frustrante. It is an active participle-adjective from desesperar and is invariable in gender (un ruido desesperante, una espera desesperante). Do not confuse it with desesperado ('desperate'), which describes the person affected, not the cause.
Examples
"La espera es completamente desesperante."
Natural Translation
The wait is completely maddening.
