Usage Note
Cariño is a versatile term of warmth: as a noun it means affection (sentir cariño por alguien), and as a term of address it means 'darling' or 'honey'. Con cariño (with love) appears at the end of letters. The adjective cariñoso means affectionate. Unlike amor, cariño can be used between friends or family without romantic implication.
