Usage Note
Sentir is an e→ie stem-changing verb (siento, sientes…) that covers physical sensation and emotional feeling. When used reflexively as sentirse, it describes a state: me siento cansado ('I feel tired'). The expression lo siento ('I'm sorry') literally means 'I feel it' and is the standard apology formula.
