Usage Note

Retraer means to draw something back or cause someone to become withdrawn. The reflexive retraerse means to become shy or reclusive. It follows the same irregular conjugation pattern as traerretraigo, retraje, etc. Do not confuse with retroceder (to move backwards physically).
