Primario means first in order or importance (colores primarios, sector primario) and also refers to primary/elementary education: educación primaria. As a noun primaria can mean primary school in Latin America. Be aware it can carry a connotation of 'crude' or 'basic' when describing behaviour (una reacción primaria).
