Usage Note
Pasión carries both the emotional sense of intense desire or enthusiasm and the religious sense of Christ's Pasión (the Passion). Tener pasión por something means to be passionate about it. The plural pasiones is regular. Note that apasionante (thrilling) and apasionado (passionate, enthusiastic) are common derived adjectives learners should pair with this word.
