Mencionado is the past participle of mencionar used as an adjective. In formal and legal writing, el mencionado or lo anteriormente mencionado ('the aforementioned') is standard. In everyday speech, dicho or citado are common synonyms. Agreeing in gender and number is required: la mencionada empresa.
