Usage Note
Llegado is the past participle of llegar used as an adjective, most commonly in the fixed phrase llegado el momento ('when the time comes') or llegado el caso ('if the occasion arises'). These are formulaic expressions in formal or literary Spanish, often introducing a conditional situation. Outside these phrases the participial use of llegado alone is rare.
Examples
"Llegado el momento, tomaremos la decisión."
Natural Translation
When the time comes, we will make the decision.
