Usage Note
Lámpara is the general word for a lamp or light fixture, whether floor, table, or hanging (lámpara de techo). A bare light bulb is bombilla in Spain or foco in Mexico. Colloquially in some regions lámpara can mean a person who is a nuisance or show-off.
