Interferir is a stem-changing verb (e→ie in stressed syllables): interfiero, interfieres, interfiere…. It is used both in everyday contexts ('to interfere in someone's affairs') and technical ones ('to interfere with a signal'). The noun is interferencia. It takes the preposition en: interferir en los asuntos ajenos ('to interfere in other people's affairs').
