Usage Note
Inocencia can mean legal innocence (not guilty of a crime) or the quality of being naive and pure (la inocencia de un niño). The adjective is inocente, and in Spanish culture el Día de los Santos Inocentes (December 28) is a day for pranks, equivalent to April Fools' Day. Be aware that inocente can also mean 'naive' or 'gullible' beyond the legal sense.
