Fervor describes intense passionate enthusiasm, most commonly religious devotion but also patriotic or ideological zeal. Note that Spanish does not use an accent on fervor (unlike calor, dolor etc., it follows the same pattern as other -or nouns). The adjective ferviente (fervent) and fervoroso are closely related.
