Usage Note
Dupla is predominantly used in Latin America (especially Argentina, Uruguay, Chile) to mean a pair or duo — often in sports (a striking partnership), music, or work. In Spain dúo or pareja would be more natural. The masculine duplo exists but means 'double the amount' (a numeral), not a pair of people.
Examples
"Forman una dupla imparable en el campo."
Natural Translation
They form an unstoppable duo on the pitch.
