Also means
peak
Usage Note
Cima means the top of a mountain or, figuratively, the pinnacle of a career or achievement. It is often used metaphorically: en la cima de su carrera ('at the peak of her career'). Do not confuse with cumbre (f), which overlaps in meaning but also specifically means a political summit meeting (cumbre del G8) — cima does not carry that political sense.
Examples
"Alcanzaron la cima tras horas de escalada."
Natural Translation
They reached the summit after hours of climbing.
