quest

Usage Note

Búsqueda is the noun derived from buscar (to search). It is widely used in digital contexts — motor de búsqueda means 'search engine' — as well as for figurative quests such as la búsqueda de la verdad ('the search for truth'). The verb buscar spells its /k/ as qu before -e (busqué), which carries over into this noun.
