Also means
to wash
Usage Note
Bañar means to bathe someone or something (transitive). The reflexive bañarse means 'to take a bath' or 'to go for a swim' — it covers both activities in Spanish, while English distinguishes them. In Spain ducharse (to shower) is the everyday alternative to bathing; in Latin America bañarse covers showering too.
