Usage Note
Atascar means to block or jam a mechanism, pipe, or passage. The reflexive atascarse is very common: el tráfico se atascó ('traffic got jammed'), el desagüe se atascó ('the drain got clogged'). It is a regular -ar verb but note the spelling change before -e endings: atasqué (first-person preterite).
Examples
"El desagüe se atascó con restos de comida."
Natural Translation
The drain got clogged with food scraps.
