Adorado is the past participle of adorar used as an adjective meaning deeply loved or idolized. It is used as an affectionate form of address — mi adorado hijo ('my beloved son') — and can describe a celebrity or public figure who is worshipped by fans. The feminine form is adorada. Note the strong, near-religious connotation it carries, beyond plain querido ('dear').
