Usage Note

Ética (the noun, 'ethics') should not be confused with the adjective ético/ética ('ethical'), which differs only in the masculine final vowel. It names both the academic discipline (philosophy of morals) and professional codes (ética médica, ética periodística). In speech moral can substitute but is slightly broader.
