Usage Note

Ultraderechista is a compound of ultra- and derechista ('right-winger') and describes positions or groups at the extreme right of the political spectrum. Like all -ista adjectives it is invariable for gender ('el partido ultraderechista', 'la candidata ultraderechista'). It is used in journalism and political analysis, often with a critical or descriptive tone.
