Usage Note
Semana is feminine. La semana pasada (last week) and la semana que viene / la semana próxima (next week) are the standard expressions. Fin de semana (weekend) is a set phrase. Days of the week in Spanish are masculine: el lunes, el martes, etc., and they take no capital letter.
