Usage Note
Sangre is feminine and fully regular. The expression a sangre fría ('in cold blood') is common in journalism and crime writing. Sangre also appears in cultural idioms such as no llegar la sangre al río ('it won't come to blows', literally 'the blood won't reach the river'), a very common reassurance that things won't get out of hand.
Examples
"La sangre circula por el cuerpo."
Natural Translation
Blood circulates through the body.
