Also means
witty, charming (Spain)
Usage Note
Salado describes food seasoned with salt or oversalted, but it carries strong regional second senses. In Spain it can mean 'witty, charming, full of grace' (related to salero), the opposite of soso ('bland, dull'). In much of Latin America it instead means 'unlucky' or 'jinxed'. The feminine form is salada.
Examples
"Este caldo está demasiado salado."
