Relajar can be transitive ('the music relaxes me') or reflexive (relajarse = to unwind). When used reflexively it often carries a colloquial register meaning to calm down or not be uptight (¡Relájate! = 'Chill out!'). A related noun is relajación (relaxation) and the adjective relajado (relaxed).
