Usage Note
Regusto refers both to a literal aftertaste left in the mouth and, figuratively, to a lingering impression or sensation after an experience — often used with a mildly negative or ambiguous connotation, as in dejó un regusto amargo (it left a bitter aftertaste). The prefix re- intensifies gusto (taste).
