Usage Note

Reflexión in Spanish can mean both the physical reflection of light or sound and, more commonly, a considered thought or meditation (una reflexión sobre la vida). It is always feminine (la reflexión). The verb is reflexionar sobre (to reflect on / think carefully about). It is more contemplative than pensamiento (thought) and implies deliberate, sustained consideration.
