Usage Note

Quizá (also spelled quizás) is interchangeable with tal vez and a lo mejor. It takes the subjunctive when it precedes the verb (quizá venga mañana), though the indicative is also heard and sounds slightly more confident (quizá viene mañana). Both quizá and quizás are equally standard in every context.
