Also means
setting
Usage Note
Puesta most frequently appears in puesta de sol or puesta del sol (sunset) and puesta en escena (staging, mise-en-scène). It is the feminine past participle of poner used as a noun. Puesta alone can also mean 'setting' in a technical or theatrical sense (la puesta a punto = fine-tuning). Do not confuse with puesto (m), which means a post, stall, or job.
Examples
"Vimos una puesta de sol espectacular desde la playa."
Natural Translation
We watched a spectacular sunset from the beach.
