Also means
rash
Usage Note
Precipitado describes an action done too quickly without sufficient thought — closer to 'rushed' or 'rash' than simply 'fast'. The underlying verb precipitar means both 'to rush/hasten' and in chemistry 'to precipitate'. Sacar conclusiones precipitadas ('to jump to hasty conclusions') is a common collocation.
Examples
"La decisión fue precipitada y sin fundamento."
Natural Translation
The decision was hasty and without basis.
