Usage Note
Preciado means highly valued or cherished, and is more formal or literary than valioso. It often collocates with intangibles: un preciado recuerdo ('a treasured memory'). The feminine form is preciada. It should not be confused with precioso, which means 'beautiful' or 'gorgeous.'
