graduate studies

Usage Note

Postgrado (also written posgrado) denotes study undertaken after a first degree — master's, doctorate, or specialist programmes. Both spellings are accepted by the RAE; posgrado is increasingly preferred in official and Latin American usage. Do not confuse with licenciatura (undergraduate degree in Spain's former system).

Examples

"Estudia un postgrado en economía internacional."
