Porro is the most common colloquial term in Spain for a hand-rolled cannabis cigarette; the term canuto is also heard regionally. In a completely different, formal register, porro also refers to a leek (the vegetable), though puerro is the standard botanical term for leek. The double-r spelling signals the trilled /rr/ sound, not the single-tap of an intervocalic r.
