Also means
operative
Usage Note
Operativo can be an adjective ('operational, in working order') or a masculine noun meaning a law-enforcement or military operation: un operativo policial ('a police operation'). In Latin America this noun use is especially common in news reporting. Do not confuse with operacional, which is rarer and more technical.
