muchísimo

very much

adverb moo-CHEE-see-moh Less Common

Usage Note

Muchísimo is the absolute superlative of mucho, intensifying to 'a great deal' or 'so much'. It agrees in gender and number when used as a determiner (muchísima gente), but stays invariable as a standalone adverb (me gusta muchísimo). Learners often confuse it with muy mucho, which is ungrammatical — use muchísimo alone.

Examples

"Me gusta muchísimo el chocolate."

Natural Translation

I like chocolate very much.

Literal Translation

To-me pleases very-much the chocolate.
