Usage Note
Mismísimo is the superlative intensifier of mismo, formed with the suffix -ísimo. It emphasises identity with theatrical or ironic force: el mismísimo rey = 'the king himself, no less.' It is always used with a definite article and precedes the noun. The standard mismo already means 'same/self,' but mismísimo adds strong emphasis or mock-solemnity.
Examples
"Lo dijo el mismísimo director."
Natural Translation
The director himself said it.
