undergraduate degree programme
Usage Note
Licenciatura traditionally referred to the five-year Spanish university degree equivalent to a master's, but the Bologna Process (c. 2010) replaced it with the four-year grado. The word now survives mainly for pre-reform qualifications and in some Latin American systems that kept the old structure.
Examples
"Terminó la licenciatura en tres años."
Natural Translation
She finished her bachelor's degree in three years.
