Invadir is used for military invasion (invadir un país) and for things that flood or overwhelm a space or feeling (las dudas me invadieron = 'doubts overwhelmed me'). The noun is invasión and the agent noun invasor/invasora ('invader'). Note the stress falls on the final syllable — it is a regular -ir verb.
