Interrogante can be masculine or feminine depending on sense: el interrogante usually means an open question or unknown ('quedan muchos interrogantes' = many questions remain unanswered), while la interrogante can mean the question mark punctuation. The common-gender use is frequent in journalism and academic prose. Do not confuse with interrogatorio ('interrogation' in a police or legal sense).
