Usage Note

Inscrito is the irregular past participle of inscribir, parallel to escrito from escribir. It is used as an adjective meaning registered or enrolled (in a course, competition, or official record), or as part of a passive construction: fue inscrito en el registro. A regular alternative participle inscripto exists in parts of Latin America but is less common in Spain.
