inmortal
immortal
adjective een-mohr-TAHL Rare
Origin: From Latin immortalis, from in- (not) + mortalis (mortal).

Inmortal is invariable in gender (un héroe inmortal, una obra inmortal). Beyond the literal sense of never dying, it is widely used to describe lasting cultural works — una obra inmortal is a timeless masterpiece. It can also function as a noun: los inmortales refers to the immortals of myth or, in France, the members of the Académie française.
