Usage Note
Indefinido describes something without clear limits or a fixed endpoint; in grammar, artículo indefinido means 'indefinite article' (un, una). In labour law, contrato indefinido (open-ended contract) is opposed to contrato temporal, a distinction very common in Spain. The antonym is definido or determinado.
Examples
"Firmó un contrato de trabajo indefinido."
Natural Translation
She signed an open-ended employment contract.
