Usage Note
Idea is feminine: una buena idea ('a good idea'). Tener una idea means 'to have an idea'; no tener ni idea is an informal phrase meaning 'to have no clue at all'. Hacerse una idea means 'to get an idea of something'. Despite ending in -a and being feminine, it takes the singular una, not un (unlike agua).
