Usage Note
Hoja covers both a plant leaf and a sheet of paper (hoja de papel), a knife blade (hoja de afeitar — razor blade), and a spreadsheet (hoja de cálculo). The initial h is silent. Hoja de vida is used in Colombia and other Latin American countries to mean a CV/résumé, where Spain says currículum. The plural hojas is regular.
