Also means
justified
Usage Note
Fundado is the past participle of fundar (to found, to base) used as an adjective meaning well-grounded or justified: sospechas fundadas = well-founded suspicions. It contrasts with infundado (unfounded, baseless). When it means 'established' (una empresa fundada en 1900), it is simply the participial use of fundar; context distinguishes the two readings.
Examples
"Tiene dudas fundadas sobre el proyecto."
Natural Translation
She has well-founded doubts about the project.
