frágil
fragile
adjective FRAH-heel Rare
Origin: From Latin fragilem (easily broken).
Also means
frail
Usage Note
Frágil is invariable for gender (un objeto frágil, una persona frágil) but adds -es in the plural (frágiles). In everyday Spanish it appears on package labels (¡Frágil!) just as 'fragile' does in English. When used of people it implies physical or emotional delicacy without necessarily being an insult.
Examples
"Este cristal es muy frágil."
Natural Translation
This glass is very fragile.
