flamante

brand-new, shiny

adjective flah-MAHN-teh Rare

Usage Note

Flamante describes something brand-new or gleamingly impressive: un flamante coche (a brand-new car) or el flamante campeón (the newly crowned champion). It always expresses a positive, often slightly proud quality and cannot describe something merely new without that sense of shine.

Examples

Natural Translation
